We are a spin-off of RWTH Aachen University that uses a special coating technology to make recyclable plastic packaging possible for a wide range of applications. We are building a company that will significantly advance the circular economy for plastics in Germany and around the world. For this purpose, we are looking for a Service and Commissioning Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of our machines at our international customers.
Service and Commissioning Engineer (m/f/d)
The Position
Your Mission
You carry out the software-side commissioning and acceptance tests of our systems at international customers and support the production ramp-up through to stable series operation
- You are responsible for the support and maintenance of the systems at our customers worldwide
- You keep the systems up to date with software updates and system adjustments
- You support customers with technical faults via remote support and on site
- You analyze faults in the Beckhoff-/TwinCAT-based PLC and HMI systems in a structured way and contribute to fast, sustainable solutions
- You actively contribute to the optimization of installed systems
- You train and support customers in the safe operation of our systems
- You work closely with the Research & Development department and contribute your insights from the field into the further development of our technology
Your Profile
You have at least three years of professional experience in commissioning or technical service for industrial systems, ideally in special-purpose machine building
- You have completed vocational training or a degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, industrial engineering, or a related field
- You have extensive experience in programming PLCs and HMIs using TwinCAT software by Beckhoff Automation
- You work in a structured, independent, and solution-oriented way
- You take an analytical approach to identifying the root causes of errors and problems
- You are motivated to provide our customers with the best possible service
- You communicate confidently and professionally with international customers
- You enjoy international travel and are excited to support customer projects through frequent multi-week assignments in the U.S.A. and Europe
- You have good German and English language skills
