Technical Product Designer / Development Engineer (m/f/d)

We are a spin-off of RWTH Aachen University, which develops a special coating technology to enable recyclable plastic packaging for various applications. We are building a company that will significantly advance the circular economy for plastics in Germany and the world. This is why we are looking for a technical product designer or development engineer (m/f/d) to support our Mechanical Design team.

• You design assemblies and components for our plasma coating systems using modern CAD systems

• You implement technical requirements while taking manufacturability, ease of assembly, and cost-effectiveness into account
• You create and maintain technical drawings, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation in accordance with applicable norms and standards
• You manage CAD data and the associated product data in our PDM system 
• You guide the implementation of your designs in close coordination with manufacturing, purchasing, and external suppliers
• You assist with technical modifications, optimizations, and the further development of existing assemblies
• You assist with the assembly and commissioning of system components and contribute suggestions for improvement to the design process

• You have at least three years of professional experience in the design of machines, systems, or technical products

• You are a trained technical product designer, a state-certified mechanical engineering technician, or hold a degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
• You have a good understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and technical contexts
• You already have very good knowledge of 3D CAD design, for example in Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, or Creo
• You have experience creating technical drawings in accordance with norms and standards, as well as maintaining bills of materials and technical documentation
• You have strong hands-on practical skills and a pragmatic approach
• You work in a structured, independent, and solution-oriented manner
• You have strong communication skills when interacting with internal departments and external partners
• You are business fluent in English, additionally German skills are an advantage
